Google Workspace APIs Limited-Use Compliance

AI4Sheets’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, the Workspace API User Data and Developer Policy, and the Limited Use requirements. We affirm that AI4Sheets only uses Google user data to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in the app’s user interface, and does not use Google user data for any other purposes such as advertising, marketing, or training generalized AI/ML models.

Principles of Limited Use

• No Data Transfer for Generalized Model Training: We do not transfer, disclose, or sell any Google user data to third-party AI tools for the purpose of training or improving their generalized AI/ML models. All data is processed for your individual requests and is session-scoped only.
• No Internal Use for Model Training: We do not use or retain any Google user data to develop, improve, or train our own AI/ML models. No aggregated or anonymized user data is collected for model improvement.
• Reliance on Third-Party Provider Policies: The AI providers we integrate with do not use data submitted via their APIs to train their models by default. Our service relies on these default no-training policies to safeguard user data.

We do not use your Google user data for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data Handling, Protection & Retention

We collect and use only the minimum data necessary to provide our core features and ensure service reliability. All data access and processing is performed in compliance with Google’s Workspace Limited-Use policy.

What Data We Collect & Use

• Spreadsheet Content: Only the specific files, cells, or ranges you explicitly select for AI processing via custom functions.
• Account Info: Your email, basic profile information, and OAuth tokens (encrypted).
• Configuration Data: Your API keys, custom templates, scheduled tasks, and AI Brain content (stored securely in your account).
• Core Functionality: Processing your selected content to generate outputs, authenticating your account, verifying licenses, and storing preferences.
• Limited Telemetry: Anonymized usage metrics to improve service reliability and develop new features.
• Third-Party AI Providers: Data flows directly from Google’s infrastructure to your chosen provider via your API key; we never store or reuse it beyond the session.
• No Data Sales or Advertising: We do not sell your user data or use it for targeted, personalized, or interest-based advertising. The use of your data is strictly limited to providing the add-on’s core functionality and as outlined in this policy.

How We Protect Your Data

• All data transmission uses TLS/SSL encryption (HTTPS).
• API keys and sensitive data are encrypted at rest.
• End-to-end encryption for data transfers.
• Secure OAuth 2.0 authentication protocols.

Data Minimization & Isolation

• We only access spreadsheet data you explicitly authorize for processing.
• Session-based processing with immediate data disposal after response.
• No persistent storage of spreadsheet content on our servers.

Infrastructure Security

• Regular security updates and vulnerability patching.
• Backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Compliance with industry security standards.

Immediate Data Deletion

• Spreadsheet content and AI outputs are deleted immediately after session completion.
• Temporary session data is removed after processing completes.
• No persistent storage of your spreadsheet content.

Persistent Data Retention

• User preferences and settings are retained until you remove them.
• API keys are stored encrypted until you delete them.
• Expired authentication tokens are deleted immediately.
• Support communications are retained for 2 years for customer service purposes.

Complete Data Deletion

• Uninstalling the Add-on revokes all permissions and deletes stored preferences.
• You can manually delete API keys and settings at any time.
• Upon request, we will delete all associated account data within 30 days.
• Inactive accounts are purged after 2 years of non-use.

Access and Control Rights

• View and export all data we have stored about you.
• Update or correct your stored preferences and settings.
• Delete specific data elements or your entire account.
• Revoke API-key access or the add-on at any time.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the updated policy will be posted here with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
